EFT often works where nothing else will! Simply put, EFT is a form of acupuncture that does not use needles - the meridian energy points are tapped with finger tips.

HEALTHY WEIGHT LOSS
a healthy weight loss case study
Here is another example from Dr. Carol Look regarding the emotional causes of being overweight and a method for healthy weight loss.
As should be clear to experienced EFT'ers, overweight people tend to use food to "tranquilize emotions." That's why diets and motivational books/seminars tend to have only short term results--they don't directly address the true problem. With EFT, however, we can locate and neutralize the real cause and thus reduce/eliminate the need to overeat.
We cannot say enough about this concept because it is the centerpiece of the overweight & addiction issue for millions of people. Carol has truly mastered this field and thus you should find her approaches below worth emulating.
“Ann” was referred to me for weight loss from her back/pain doctor who had recently heard of EFT. When she first called, Ann reported feeling scared. While she felt embarrassed about being overweight and knew it was exacerbating her pain, she hadn’t felt ready to tackle this issue. The doctor urged her to call me because he felt the excess weight was a contributing factor for her overall pain and general health condition.
Ann admitted using food for 3 primary reasons (1) to soothe the emotional emptiness from her upbringing with her cold mother and absent father, (2) to comfort her when her physical pain was unbearable, and (3) to fill a void inside of her from feeling starved of emotional and physical affection from her husband. Over the past 4 months we have worked on all three of these areas. Ann has lost 25 pounds easily and effortlessly by addressing and neutralizing the underlying emotional states that drove her to binge and overeat in the first place.
